Hyaluronic Acid (HA)

Isn’t that one of the ingredients in my skin care ?

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a common ingredient in skin care products as it helps retain moisture and causes your skin to look and feel more plump and hydrated.  Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is naturally occurring in the body, is found in skin and cartilage, and is one of the most popular types of fillers. With the help of an experienced, qualified injector, HA fillers can provide natural-looking enhancements to help you feel more confident in your appearance.

Aging Is A Fact Of Life

Looking your age is not!

As we get older, we lose some of the subcutaneous fat that supports our skin.  Over time, this loss of fat, combined with bone loss and lack of collagen formation, causes our skin to thin out, droop and sag.  Hyaluronic Acid fillers can help minimize the signs of aging by lifting and supporting, while restoring lost volume, smoothing lines, plumping, and enhancing contours.

Non-Surgical Facelift

Who said you need to go “under the knife” ?

Non-surgical face sculpting and contouring have quickly become one of the most sought-after cosmetic treatments at Aesthetics Now.  The art form of advanced injection technique combined with the science of precise placement, are both implemented to improve facial proportions, create symmetry, and ultimately achieve balance and beauty.  When used in combination with Neuromodulators — a non-surgical, mini facelift is achieved.

Aesthetic Treatments

Not just for women.

While injectables have become most popular among women, more and more men are turning to aesthetic treatments in search of an enhanced, more masculine appearance.  Aging affects men and women quite differently.  The most common signs of aging we see in men are deep forehead creases,  fine lines, drooping in the mid-face, and the development of jowls.  A strong jawline and well-defined chin are highly sought after by our male clientele.

Lip Enhancement

Pucker up!

Thanks to celebrities like Angelina Jolie and Kylie Jenner, the perfect pout is now highly desired by clients of all ages! Gone are the days when collagen was the only option for fuller lips.  Now, a variety of dermal fillers have emerged that are based on hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in our bodies and is highly attracted to water.  The world is really your oyster when it comes to lip enhancements.  As little as one syringe (the equivalent of one teaspoon), when placed strategically, can yield the most beautiful results!  Many clients opt for a very natural look, while others desire more of a dramatic result.  Either way, we are here to help you achieve your aesthetic goals!

Liquid Rhinoplasty

The 30 minute nose job.

Bringing the nose into harmony with other features is the goal of a ‘nose job’.  For those that prefer not to “go under the knife”,  there is a non-surgical alternative employed by only the most highly skilled Doctors to gently reshape the nose using dermal filler.

The nose has a tremendous impact on overall facial harmony.  If a nose is too small, it can cause the face to appear flat and broad.  If a nose is too large, it can overbear other facial features.  It is not uncommon for both men and women to be unhappy with the profile of their nose. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, nearly 220,000 rhinoplasties are performed yearly, making this the most common facial plastic surgery procedure.

BEAUTIPHICATION™️

Maximize beauty. Restore symmetry, harmony and balance.

Dr. Mazzuca employs a variety of techniques and methods, including those of Dr. Arthur Swift (Swift Beauty).  A trend-setter in the rapidly developing field of cosmetic injectables, Dr. Swift has pioneered and trademarked a revolutionary approach to non-surgical facial enhancement: BEAUTIPHICATION™️. Seeking beauty is not just about restoring youthfulness – it resides in pleasing facial proportions. BEAUTIPHICATION™️ is an injection facial procedure that follows Leonardo Da Vinci’s mathematical principle of beauty and harmony through “divine” proportion.  It is a medical application of the concept that ideal beauty might be a universal notion, provable by the mathematical concept of “phi” (the golden ratio) long used by artists and architects.  A caliper measuring tool, similar to the one used by the Renaissance master, maps out the injection of cosmetic injectables and dermal fillers (such as injectable fillers and Botox®️, to put things simply) with the precision necessary to enhance features and restore smooth contours.  Using Dr. Swift’s BEAUTIPHICATION™️ approach, Dr. Mazzuca is able to maximize a person’s beauty potential by restoring symmetry, harmony and balance.

FAQ & Common Treatments

Although very rare, as with any medical procedure, injections with fillers are associated with certain risks.

Dr.  Mazzuca will thoroughly review the risks during the consultation appointment.

Some report a mild discomfort during treatment. Many dermal fillers contain lidocaine (local anaesthetic) to make you more comfortable.

It is a simple and straight-forward procedure, involving a few tiny injections directly into the skin.

Depending on how many areas are being treated, it takes an average of 30-60 minutes.

Dermal fillers are gel-like substances composed of hyaluronic acid (HA).  A very small amount is injected beneath the skin’s surface to add contour, restore lost volume, and smooth wrinkles.

Although results vary from patient to patient, long lasting results can be achieved with periodic maintenance touch ups.  The filler will dissolve naturally with time.   Without touch-ups, it will eventually totally disappear from the body.  The duration of results depends on many factors such as the structure of the skin, lifestyle, age and metabolism.

The filler itself creates volume, but it also work by drawing in and binding water, therefore plumping the area treated.  Results are immediate.

A special reversal agent called “hyaluronidase” can be injected to dissolve the filler.

The most common side effects include localized swelling, bruising, and tenderness which usually resolves within a week.  Other potential side effects can occur.  You should discuss the potential treatment risks with Dr. Mazzuca.
